We're excited to announce the newest addition to our office – a stunning saltwater fish tank!
This vibrant ecosystem has quickly become a relaxing outlet for the team, providing a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday work.
The tank features a diverse array of marine life, including colourful clownfish, a rainbow wrasse, and our workhorse goby – who cleans the base of the tank each day. We've also added a variety of coral, crabs, snails and a starfish to create a natural and stimulating environment for our finned friends.
Since the tank's arrival, we've hosted several lunch-and-learn sessions to educate our team about the fascinating world of saltwater aquariums. We've learned about the nitrogen cycle, the importance of maintaining water quality, and the unique behaviours of different fish species. One of the most popular topics has been the clownfish schoolyard bullying. We've observed how certain clownfish establish dominance within their social hierarchy, and how they use various behaviours to maintain their position.
We have also had to politely decline numerous requests for a reef shark.
