Our team are taking a fresh approach to the emerging field of BIM on civil infrastructure projects – finding new ways to implement digital technology into the day-to-day running of projects. We know what project managers need, so can focus on real-life applications of BIM rather than taking a philosophical high-level approach.
We are working with our clients to develop BIM construction specifications, manage design and as-constructed models, and apply "RetroBIM" processes to retrospectively create Asset Information Models (AIMs) for old assets.
We are pleased to announce our most recent engagement, for the provision of BIM as-constructed services on the Bruce Highway: Townsville Ring Road – Stage 5 project.
BIM one will provide specialist as-constructed modelling and data management services on behalf of Georgiou Group, who have been awarded the D&C contract for the landmark project. Once completed, this major upgrade to the road network will reduce congestion within Townsville’s CBD and provide a safer road environment for freight traffic and the local community.
Throughout the construction phase for this landmark project involving the 18 km duplication of the Bruce Highway around the Townsville City Centre - our team worked collaboratively with the construction contractor, Georgiou Group, and TMR's BIM Implementation Team to develop a data-enriched as-constructed representation of the upgrade -ultimately enabling TMR's asset management team to seamless integrate non-graphically technical data into the 3D digital model.
